Sep 20 2008Craftivism Set for September 20 at Manichaus
Several local artisans will be selling their handmade artwork, clothing
accessories and wares at Manichaus (pronounced: manic house) in
McAllen, from Noon to 12 Midnight on September 20, 2008. Manichaus is
located at 1301-B, North Main Street in McAllen. Admission is free.
Several vendors will be selling a wide variety of handmade, non-
manufactured goods during the indoor sale. There will also be tutorials on how to make hand crafts and a fashion show by Power, Power Clothing. The aim is to reconnect to
our community and fight the negative effects of a growing global
economy and mass production. The event is sponsored by the Free People
Project, Cake Fight and Manichaus.
There will be music and a fashion show as well. Deadline for vendors
