"Science On a Sphere"
Arrives at IMAS: The First in
McAllen- The International Museum of Art & Science
(IMAS) is pleased to announce the arrival of the "Science On a Sphere" Exhibit,
opening to the public on Sunday, September 14th at 1pm. "Science On a Sphere", or SOS, is a
revolutionary, state-of-the-art exhibit designed by the National Oceanic &
Atmospheric Association (NOAA) to illustrate planetary and celestial systems
like never before. In essence, it is an
entirely new view of our own planet and others.
Digital projectors illustrate concepts such as animal migration,
hurricanes, tsunamis, and much more onto the surface of a 6 foot suspended
sphere. IMAS is excited to be the first
venue for the “Science On a Sphere†in the State of

A limited number of tickets are available for the SOS
Inauguration at the Cosmic Cocktails Event to be held on Saturday, September 13th
from 7pm-9pm. Tickets are $20 for
members of IMAS and $25 for non-members.
