Top 25 Scholarship Banquet

The McAllen Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a Top 25 Banquet on Thursday, May 15, 2008 to honor the Top 25 graduating seniors from each of the three McAllen area high schools, McAllen High, Memorial, and Nikki Rowe. The Chamber has sponsored this event for the past 24 years as a show of support for education in the community.

Thanks to the generosity of the coontributions from the proceeds from the Mcallen Mayor's Golf Tournament, the McAllen Chamber of Commerce President's Cup Golf Tournament and through the coontributions of several business leaders in the community, the Chamber was able to award all seventy-five graduates a $1,000.00 scholarship. "The Chamber was very fortunate to once again have the support of our Mayor, Richard Cortez to dedicate these funds for the benefit of these top graduates", said Austin Miller, Top 25 past Committe Chairman. "This scholarship is an acknowledgementof all the hard work and dedication that our students have committed for the past twelve years of their education".

The Chamber's Top 25 committee is once again diligently working on achieving their goal to raise $75,000.00 to award this year's Top 25 graduates a $1,000.00 scholarship, and with your contribution, we hope to reach that goal.

For your contribution, your name will appear in the program booklet in the respective scholarship level category and all publicity regarding the Top 25 Banquet.
