The McAllen Chamber of Commerce and Texas Regional Bank are proud to announce an upcoming Lunch and Learn to help small businesses. This is the first professional presentation of its “Fall 2019 Lunch & Learn Business Seminar Series” and is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30th, 2019.
This seminar explores the necessity for being able to be aware of one’s emotions in the workplace and being aware of the emotions of others as well. Being able to connect with others is essential using our soft skills in our relationships at work, in leadership situations, when making decisions, and when implementing change. Employers in the workplace today are demanding that we use our soft skills to connect with customers, with other stakeholders, and with staff.
Attendees will learn how to:
• Assess your emotional intelligence via an EQ Assessment.
• Define, learn, and analyze the emotional intelligence dimensions and how they can affect interpersonal and intrapersonal relations in the workplace.
• Explore how emotional intelligence relates to leadership and managerial behavior.
The seminar will be held at the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, located at 1200 Ash Ave in McAllen. The Lunch & Learn Session will run from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, and lunch will be provided for registered attendees. The session carries a $15.00 fee for McAllen Chamber members and $20.00 fee for non-members per attendee.
