Carlos Margo named Dean of Industry Training and Economic Development

Carlos Margo1Carlos L. Margo has been selected to serve as STC’s Associate Dean of Industry Training and Economic Development.   Margo has long been recognized for his expertise in assessing companies’ workforce needs. Industry Training and Development then takes those needs and customizes training at the college to provide employers with highly qualified and well-trained employees.

Working within STC’s Office of Industry Training and Economic Development (ITED), he has worked tirelessly to develop and manage corporate training initiatives, has implemented grant funded projects, designed and developed customized workforce training programs and curricula, all while managing and supervising workforce training departments.

Margo began his career with the college as a curriculum coordinator and eventually served as Training Manager, Regional Manager, Executive Director and now Associate Dean. His responsibilities have included providing leadership and administrative direction for all core operational functions for the College’s industry training and economic development initiatives.
